Felling Trailers is once again participating alongside the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) in Trailer Safety Week (TSW), running June 7–13, 2026. This marks the eighth consecutive year Felling Trailers has participated in the campaign, and we remain committed to supporting it.
Since joining TSW in 2019, Felling Trailers has been a Trailer Safety Week Allie, working hand in hand with NATM to spread critical safety information to our dealers, customers, and the broader trailer-using public. Our involvement goes beyond simply displaying a logo; it reflects who we are as a company and what we believe.
Millions of trailers travel America’s roads every day. Many of those drivers, including recreational users, small business owners, and contractors, may not have the training or information they need to tow safely. That’s the gap Trailer Safety Week was designed to address. NATM launched TSW in 2018 to raise consumer awareness about safe towing practices. From the person backing the boat into the lake on a Saturday morning, the contractor hauling equipment to a job site, or the farmer moving equipment or livestock. These are our customers, and making sure they have what they need to tow safely is something we take seriously.
“At Felling, safety isn’t a checkbox. It’s built into every trailer we manufacture and every relationship we build with our dealers and customers. Trailer Safety Week gives us a platform to extend that commitment beyond the factory floor. We’re proud to be an Allie of this initiative and encourage everyone in our network to take part.”
–Rebecca Gerads, Marketing at Felling Trailers
Felling Trailers urges dealers, customers, and end-users to take advantage of the free resources available at www.TrailerSafetyWeek.com. The mobile-friendly site covers everything a trailer operator needs to know: hitching and coupling, cargo securement, tire safety, brake systems, driving with a trailer, and the importance of selecting NATM-compliant equipment. The free Safely Towing Brochure is available for download and ideal for sharing at dealerships and service centers.
Proper hitching, correct loading, regular maintenance, and understanding your equipment all contribute to safer roads. The resources at www.TrailerSafetyWeek.com make that information easy to find and share.
Join Felling Trailers and NATM this June. Share www.TrailerSafetyWeek.com with your network, talk to your customers, and post on social media. Every bit of outreach helps.
About NATM
The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) has been dedicated to improving trailer safety and performance for nearly 40 years. The Association represents manufacturers that produce light- and medium-duty trailers, suppliers and service providers, trailer dealers, and tow vehicle OEMs in the industry.
NATM seeks to promote safety awareness and provide a voice for trailer manufacturers and their suppliers when issues of trailer safety and regulation are considered by Congress and relevant government agencies. Founded in 1987, the Association has grown to represent more than 1,200 companies belonging to the trailer industry. Currently, NATM members manufacture an estimated 77% of new trailers on the nation’s roadways each year.
NATM is dedicated to improving trailer safety. One way this is accomplished is through the mandatory Compliance Verification Program, which requires all trailer manufacturers to verify that they have the manufacturing processes in place to build trailers that meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and industry best practices.
