SLR Self-Loading Reel Series

The SLR series is a single reel self-loading reel trailer, available in 3 model variations ranging from 6,550 lb. to 13,600 lb. reel weight capacities. The SLR (self-loading reel) caters to the needs of the public utilities and municipalities, who serve and maintain the communications and electrical infrastructures for their state and local regions.

All units are equipped with rubber torsion suspension, standard, assuring a trouble-free towing experience. All hydraulics are powered by an onboard hydraulic power unit consisting of an approx. 14 HP gas engine with electric start, 20-gallon hydraulic reservoir, and return oil filter all in a lockable theft-resistant steel enclosure.

• HD Hydraulic Drive Assembly

No more chains to keep adjusting, the HD Hydraulic Drive Assembly eliminates chain “slap,” allowing it to operate much smoother and quieter. This drive system is a gear-driven slew bearing system, eliminating the hassles with chain-driven applications.

• Removable Level Wind

Paired with the HD hydraulic drive option, the removable level wind is equipped with rollers to lay the material evenly on the reel as its being pulled in. When not in use, it stores on the trailer.

• 16″ Bronze Tension Brake

Our 16” tensioning brake equipped with a ventilated bronze rotor develops 4,200 ft torque and is an excellent addition to the available options. It allows direct tensioning capabilities in light-duty overhead pulling applications. For heavy-duty applications, it is a perfect companion to tension the conductor feeding a bull wheel tensioner.
