Springtime brings warmer temperatures, green grass, the end of the school year, and graduation. Each year we congratulate area graduates and wish them the best in their future endeavors. Occasionally we have the honor to call these graduates by another name: teammate. Meet Kevin Reyes, Elian Morales, and Reggie Walker. These graduates are part of Felling’s Nightshift team, working part-time with a swing shift schedule, as this is their after school job.

Elian Morales – Paint Team

E. Morales' after school job at Felling's is being part of paint teamElian Morales is the son of Mauricio and Lilia Soto Morales, a graduating senior of Browerville high school. Elian comes from a family of six and is the oldest of Mauricio and Lilia’s children. Interested in a manufacturing job, Elian applied at Felling and was hired on as part of the paint team. After graduation, Elian plans to continue working at Felling full time. We asked Elian what he has learned while working here that he will use in the future. He replied, “To always work hard.”

“Great hours and great pay. If you have something going on at school, they will work with you.” said Kevin.

Kevin Reyes – Final Assembly Finishing Team

K. Reyes' after school job is working at Felling as an assembler Kevin Reyes is the son of Omar and Maria Reyes, a graduating senior of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle high school. Kevin comes from a family of five (six including family pet), one brother, one sister, and one family dog. As a family, the Reyes love spending time outdoors and playing sports. Kevin is part of Felling’s Finishing team as an assembler. After graduation, he plans to keep working and eventually become a welder. Why Felling? “Great hours and great pay. If you have something going on at school, they will work with you.” said Kevin. We asked Kevin what he has learned while working here that he will use in the future. He responded, “I learned how to weld better, and I will definitely use that in the future.” In five years, Kevin sees himself working as a welder and having enough money to buy his own fishing boat.

Reggie Walker – Weld Production Team

R. Walker's after school job is welding for Felling TrailersReggie Walker is the daughter of Ben and Mandy Wielenberg, a graduating senior from Melrose high school. Reggie’s parents are both CDL drivers and her dad also runs heavy equipment. They have been great supporters of their daughter’s interests. Reggie is part of Felling’s weld production team. She realized her interest in welding after attending one of Felling’s weld camps. “I had taken the Community Ed (welding) class (through Felling Trailers); from there, I saw an opportunity to learn, and I took it,” said Reggie. After graduation, she will be attending the Alex Tech Welding Program. After completing that course, she will decide between the Arkansas Elite Welding Academy or an Underwater Welding School in Seattle. Reggie doesn’t know where she will be in five years, but she knows that she’ll be welding, which makes her happy. We asked Reggie what she has learned while working here that she will use in the future. She responded, “I try to let my work ethic speak for me. Never be afraid to ask questions. Always wear a belt.”

“I had taken the Community Ed (welding) class (through Felling Trailers); from there, I saw an opportunity to learn, and I took it,” said Reggie.

To our 2020 graduates, we wish you the best. Wherever your future takes you, may it be filled with greatness. Thank you for choosing Felling Trailers as your after school job working as part of our manufacturing team
