Felling Trailers, manufacturer of commercial trailers, construction trailers, and many other specialty trailers, is excited to announce that they are offering a Free Youth Welding Camp again for kids ages 12-18! We loved hosting emerging welding leaders here in our Welding Training Center and are ready for the third group of creators! Ben Myhre, Welding Trainer, will be the instructor again.
What is Felling Trailers’ Youth Welding Camp?
Felling Trailers Welding Camp allows students to explore career opportunities and requirements of a professional metal fabricator! Our content emphasizes the development of beginner level skills, key to the success of working in the welding industry. Students will study workplace safety, basic manufacturing processes, and basic print reading skills. There will be a project to complete to spec that the students will be able to take home at the end of the term.
Goals of Youth Welding Camp

- Introduce students basic skills required in the manufacturing industry.

Details about the Youth Welding Camp
Who:
The Welding Camp is open to Boys and Girls ages 12-18. We need a minimum of 2 participants, and a maximum of 6.
Where: Felling Trailers Sauk Centre Facility Building 9
When:
March 20,22,27,29
April 3,10,12,17,19,24,26
May 1,3,8,10
Class Times:
3:10 pm to 4:30 pm
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Work Boots and Jeans
Cost: Free
Registration: Online through Sauk Centre Community Ed or in the Community Ed office. The Students will need to pay $7 if registering online and then will be refunded $7 due to a generous donor. If registering in the activities office, no fee will be exchanged.
