Grow With Us: The People of Felling, Aaron Butler, Senior Material Handler

Felling Trailers has been proudly manufacturing trailers for nearly 50 years. Join us as we take a look back and see how much our company, along with our employees, has grown. Many of you may already know the story of how Felling Trailers started as a small fabrication shop in downtown Sauk Centre in 1974. Continuing to add to this story, we invite you to read our “Grow with Us Series – 32.” Here, you will meet the people of Felling; we will share a bit about the people who have played a part in what our company is today and where we will be tomorrow. Some people you will meet have been with us for many years, some decades, and others are starting their careers. We want you to meet Aaron Butler, Senior Material Handler for Felling Trailers, Inc., Sauk Centre, to continue our series.

Aaron Butler, Senior Material Handler

Aaron Butler

Senior Material Handler at Felling Trailers

Name: Aaron Butler
Status: 4-1/2 years
Title: Senior Material Handler

Aaron joined the Felling Trailers team in March 2019 as part of the material handling team. All material handlers have different areas of responsibility within the shop. They all have assigned locations where they feed the production lines and have different areas that they need to keep organized. For Aaron, he is one of the outdoor yardman material handlers. Using a Linda E50 forklift, he pulls materials from warehouse locations outside of the main production building and delivers them to the appropriate work areas, feeding production needs.

From Trucking to Trailers

Before his time at Felling, Aaron worked in the trucking and heavy equipment industries. He spent some time as a truck driver along with, operating heavy equipment and doing mechanic work. His previous work experience meshed well with his position and duties as a material handler. In 2021, Aaron was promoted to Senior Material Handler. Aaron enjoys being outside, and being a yardman allows him to do so. “I prefer not to work much with computers or scanners, so it’s a good fit for me,” said Aaron.

When asked why Aaron chose Felling to be where he worked, he said, “You get lots of time off and good benefits.” Felling Trailers offers a robust benefits package for their employees with health and life insurance, paid vacation, vision and dental, health savings account, short/long term disability, flex benefits plans, and 401K.

Since Aaron joined the Felling Trailers Sauk Centre team in 2019, he has seen and been a part of much of the company’s growth.

“Things are always moving, and we continue to build on, growing.”

– Aaron Butler

We are glad to have Aaron as part of our team. Thank you, Aaron!
