Felling Trailers has been proudly manufacturing trailers for 50 years. Join us as we take a look back and see how much our company, along with our employees, has grown. Many of you may already know the story of how Felling Trailers started as a small fabrication shop in downtown Sauk Centre in 1974. Continuing to add to this story, we invite you to read our “Grow with Us Series – 35.” Here, you will meet the people of Felling; we will share a bit about the people who have played a part in what our company is today and where we will be tomorrow. Some people you will meet have been with us for many years, some decades, and others are starting their careers. We want you to meet Ismael Mendoza, Lead Painter for Felling Trailers, Inc., Litchfield, to continue our series.
Felling Trailers lleva 50 años fabricando remolques con orgullo. Acompáñenos a echar la vista hacia atrás y ver cuanto a crecido nuestra empresa junto con nuestros empleados. Es posible que muchos de ustedes ya conozcan la historia de cómo Felling Trailers comenzó como un pequeño taller de fabricación en el centro de Sauk Centre en 1974. Ismael’s journey at Felling Trailers is a testament to the company’s commitment to growth and development. He joined our team in August of 2019, bringing twenty-five years of experience from a family-owned business in Mexico. Starting in our Paint and Blast team in Litchfield, Ismael quickly adapted to our processes and advanced from Painter to Senior Painter, and now holds the position of Lead Painter. His dedication to enhancing his abilities and driving positive change in his department is truly inspiring.

In his free time, Ismael shares his passion for music with the world through his tracks, which are available on various platforms.
Ismael is also one of Felling’s bi-lingual team members, which is a big help with providing training to new Latino team members. Felling provides training to all new employees, no matter the department they are placed in. In the Paint department, many team members have little to no painting experience. They are paired with senior painters, who will shadow them for 1-2 weeks. Along with helping to train new team members, he also assists the Human Resources team by providing translation for team safety meetings and orientations when needed.
When asked why Ismael chose Felling as the place where he worked, he said, “In my position, I have the opportunity to improve. Our department is a reflection of the knowledge we gain day by day. We learn from each other, improve our skills, improve our process, and continuously work to be better.” Felling trailers has been said to have one of the best paint finishes in the industry. Felling Trailers stands behind their team and the paint finish they produce with a 3-year warranty.
Ismael’s optimism about Felling Trailers’ future is infectious. Since joining our Litchfield team in 2019, he has witnessed numerous improvements to our facility and production processes. This growth is not limited to Litchfield; our Sauk Centre location also continues to expand each year. Ismael believes we are on the right path to another 50 years of success, thanks to the implementation of great ideas, our talented experts, and our amazing workforce. We are proud to have Ismael as part of our team and thank him for his contribution to our company’s growth.
La trayectoria de Ismael en Felling Trailers es un testimonio del compromiso de la empresa con el crecimiento y el desarrollo. Se unió a nuestro equipo en Agosto de 2019, aportando veinticinco años de experiencia de una empresa familiar en México. Comenzando en nuestro equipo de Pintura y Granallado en Litchfield. Ismael se adaptó rápidamente a nuestros procesos y avanzo de Pintor a Pintor Senior y ahora ocupa el puesto de Pintor Líder. Su dedicación para mejorar sus habilidades e impulsar un cambio positivo en su departamento es verdaderamente inspirador.

En su tiempo libre, Ismael comparte su pasión por la música con el mundo a través de sus canciones, que están disponibles en diversas plataformas.
Ismael también es uno de los miembros bilingües del equipo de Felling, lo cual es de gran ayuda para brindar capacitación a los nuevos miembros latinos del equipo. Felling brinda capacitación a todos los miembros del equipo sin importar el departamento en el que se encuentren. En el departamento de pintura muchos miembros del equipo tienen poca o ninguna experiencia en pintura. Se les empareja con pintores experimentados, que los guiara durante 1-2 semanas. Además, de ayudar a capacitar a los nuevos miembros del equipo, también ayuda al equipo de Recursos Humanos proporcionando traducción para reuniones de seguridad del equipo y las orientaciones cuando sea necesario.
Cuando se le pregunto a Ismael por qué eligió Felling como lugar de trabajo, el contesto “En mi posición, tengo la oportunidad de mejorar. Nuestro departamento es un reflejo del conocimiento que adquirimos día a día. Aprendemos unos de otros, mejoramos nuestras habilidades, mejoramos nuestro proceso y trabajamos continuamente para ser mejores”. Se ha dicho que Felling Trailers tiene uno de los mejores acabados de pintura de la industria. Felling Trailers respalda a su equipo y el acabado de pintura que producen con una garantía de 3 años.
El optimismo de Ismael sobre el futuro de Felling Trailers es contagioso.
